* INQUIRY CONCEPT:   **** If you haven't done this task already, please do THIS WEEK.  We will be using this information next week.  As part of our concept this term, we are finding out more about our global identity.
A pepeha is a way to introduce yourself and tells people where you are from and your connections to others and your local environment.
Read the text supplied by Mrs Aiavao.
Discuss your pepeha with your whanau.

For now please find out..

Where your family comes from, this can either be from the side of the family you connect with the most or both sides of your parents.

An example of a pepeha is on Pg 4- 5, Pg 8 -9.

You do not have to construct your pepeha in the same way.

For now find out.. the following that connects you to your whanau and your local environment (does not need to be in NZ, could be another country you were born in).

Country your whanau come from, waka (if you have one), the closest mountain, river-lake-or sea that your whanau connect with, iwi-tribe-village or community (e.g suburb), marae (if you have one) or a building that's of importance to your whanau (it could be a church or other structure), parents or grandparents (optional).

We will work on shaping our pepeha in the next few weeks.

Choose one or more of the following tasks.
